DIY Jimmy Choo ‘Lilyth’ Bow Heels Tutorial

DIY Jimmy Choo Bow Heels

Ever since I spotted these gorgeous heels on Margo & Me at Create + Cultivate I knew I had to have them. Yet once I found out who made them I knew it most likely wouldn’t happen. I’m all for splurging when appropriate but these heels felt more like something I would wear just a few times since the detail was so distinct.

After taking a closer look at these beauties I realized the shoes consisted of an ankle strap skinny heel with a tulle bow tied over the ankle strap. Pretty simple design for us to recreate if you ask me. I honestly couldn’t find a navy ankle strap heel that I liked so I decided to go with a neutral blush color. The shoes I got were from Wet Seal (sold out but other colors here). Luckily there are tons of color options all over the internet so feel free to shop those links below or at stores near you. I ended up loving the way this color worked out for the shoes–plus it was a fraction of the price: $950 vs. $35. Take that, Jimmy!

Step 1: Cut tulle 1 ft. 5 in. long by 2 ft. wide. You can cut the tulle any size you’d like based on your desired bow size.

Step 2: Gently scrunch the fabric together horizontally & slide the fabric through the outside vertical hook of the closure (as seen in image above).

Step 3: Tie tulle into bow shape & tweak until it is how you’d like. Once our bow was tied, we pulled the tulle that made the loops in the bow apart so it was wider & more spread out.
