We spent last week at the most incredible resort we’ve ever been to: Secrets Akumal Riveria Maya. Everything about our trip was so seamless that it felt too good to be true. Except it was true! Here are all the ways it fell together so perfectly.
1. We were with the greatest blogger friends Ali, John, & Olivia. “Co-workers” that double as friends are seriously the best.
2. We manages to have zero lines at the airport while flying internationally. Perhaps it was the timing of our flights (thanks Apple Vacations!) but whatever it was, it was incredible. No lines meant more time in the sun, sand, & sea. Another plus was that Apple Vacations had arranged for Amstar to take us to & from the airport/resort & we would 10000% recommend them to anyone traveling, anywhere. The staff was beyond friendly, super helpful, & even provided drinks upon our arrival. #FiveStars
3. Top Chef, one of our favorite shows, had recently filmed the season finale at Secrets Akumal which was so cool to watch while actually being there. Talk about timing…
4. The resort had more amenities than we could ever dream of yet at the same time was the most relaxing atmosphere. We snorkeled, got the BEST massages, ate incredible meals (we’re talkin’ 5 star dining from all 9 restaurants), & so much more. To be totally honest, we were a bit skeptical of how the food would be going into this trip. We hadn’t had the best experiences with all inclusive food in the past but this was nothing like your typical resort food.
5. The weather was seriously perfect. Sunny every. single. day., the dreamiest of views, & the entire time we were there the lowest it dropped to was 70F. So what do you wear in those amazing temps? Glad you asked…
