In our opinion there’s nothing we love more than a homemade gift for the holidays. Well, that & some delicious food of course! That’s why we’re combining the two to create the perfect, super easy, DIY Holiday Mason Jar Gift Idea with Milk Chocolate Wavy Lays & Dark Chocolate Wavy Lays. Luckily these chips are back in stores for the holiday season but with that being said, they’re limited edition so run & go snag some asap! They also come in an amazing new Dark Chocolate With Almond Bits flavor that we can’t get enough of! You can find all three flavors for a limited time in-store at your local Target. We easily found ours in the holiday snack aisle as seen in the image below.
To get started with this DIY you’ll need: Dark Chocolate Covered Wavy Lays | Milk Chocolate Covered Wavy Lays | 3 Mason Jars | Bakers Twine | A Pinecone | Krazy Glue | Mini Toy Car | One Red Pom Pom | Mini Pine Tree | 2 Googly Eyes | Scissors | Card/Tag | Stuffed Animal Reindeer (for the antlers–feel free to otherwise use pipe cleaners)
This DIY is super simple as you’ll just be glueing & tying the decorations onto the mason jars, filling the jars with chips, & gifting or enjoying them yourself! To create the mini car with tree jar we simply tied the tree to the top of the car using bakers twine. We then glued the car to the lid of the mason jar & filled the jar with Dark Chocolate Wavy Lays.
For the pinecone tag jar we tied both the tag & pinecone around the top of the jar with bakers twine. The pinecone is easier than you’d imagine to tie as the twine goes into the divers of the cone & stays put on it’s own. We then filled that jar with Dark Chocolate Wavy Lays.
For the final jar we glued the eyes, nose, & ears onto the mason jar to resemble a reindeer. Make sure to hold the pieces in place until the glue has settled. We filled that jar with Milk Chocolate Wavy Lays which were SO delicious.
These jars make for great gifts this holiday season or serve as adorable decor throughout your home! The sweet yet salty combination of the chips is perfect for all to enjoy!
