Where To Eat: Acanto

Acanto Chicago Restaurant Review

Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, across the street from Millennium Park, & on Chicago’s Cultural Mile is one of the most delicious restaurants you’ll ever happen upon. It’s the sort of place where the food tastes just as good as it looks, fitting for it’s location. An Italian restaurant that won’t just serve you spaghetti & meatballs but rather the most indulgent house-made rigatoni with lamb ragu, caciocavallo cheese, & bread crumbs. This spot is Acanto & it’s a must visit while in Chicago.

Acanto Chicago Review

We recommend starting your meal at Acanto with a meat & cheese selection, preferably the Gran Tartufo Toscano. A Tuscan classic this board is served with toasted crostini & fresh honeycomb. It’s beyond flavorful & the perfect treat to get you prepared for the incredible meal to come.

If you’re looking for a lighter dish the Crispy Brussels Sprouts are a must. Served with white beans, pancetta, & whipped goat cheese, we’re huge fans of the fresh & hearty flavor profiles this dish has to offer.

Best Pizza In Chicago

You’d expect amazing pizza from an Italian restaurant & Acanto did not disappoint. Our two favorites are the sausage & the mushroom & don’t even try to get us to pick a favorite! They’re both absolutely delicious.

Last but certainly not least, you definitely need to get the Risotto which is served with seasonal ingredients & mascarpone parmigiano-reggiano. Our risotto had a crisp flavor to it, something that perfectly complimented it’s creamy texture.
