Public Lives: The Chalkboard Mag | Secret Recipes: Superfood Latte

One of the most commonly requested types of content for 2018 on PLSR was to be more health focused. Even as someone with a background in desserts, it didn’t come as too much of a surprise because with a New Year typically comes resolutions about how we can better our own lives. So I went straight to the source, aka Suzanne Hall, to find out about all things health & wellness related.

The Chalkboard Magazine Interview Superfood Latte

Suzanne co-founded The Chalkboard Mag nearly 6 years ago & has since been the Editor in Chief ever since. What they call a guide to “living well”, TCM boasts all things health & wellness. Launched in conjunction with Pressed Juicery, TCM is just as refreshing as one of their juices. Loaded with information on nutrition, alternative health, fitness, natural beauty, & so much more, TCM is truly your one stop shop for a healthy lifestyle. So as someone who works in the both the health industry as well as the juice industry, I was eager to ask Suzanne her thoughts on juice cleansing. What was once the hottest trend in the health world has become looked down upon in just a few short years. Suzanne shared that first of all, we’re all different. What works for me doesn’t necessarily work for Suzanne & vice versa. Additionally, the juice cleanse trend was just that, a trend. While trends are incredible at showing the world the magic a product or system has to offer, each trend naturally has a demise. People move from trend to trend so when the juice cleanse peaked as much as it did, it was only a matter of time before people started trying to find flaws in it. Moral of the story, the health & wellness world shouldn’t be about trends. It should be about listening to your body & finding what works specifically for you. Personally I enjoy about 3-4 Pressed Juicery juices a week because I find they give me energy & help me feel refreshed.

Once I heard Suzanne’s answer for that question I knew I had to know more. What do we need to start incorporating into our diets asap? Why the heck are mushrooms so relevant all of a sudden? Suzanne answered all these questions & more in the exclusive interview below. PLUS as PLSR’s interviews always do, Suzanne also shared her secret recipes for a superfood latte & as someone who doesn’t like the taste of coffee, even I enjoyed this recipe.
