Public Lives: Be There In Five | Secret Recipes: Balsamic Pear Salad

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 ripe pears (preferably Bosc)
- 4 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
- 5 oz crumbled goat cheese
- arugula & spring mixture lettuce
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- drizzle of honey
Preheat oven to 400 F. Place butter in baking dish & heat in the oven for a few minutes until melted. Remove skins from pears, core, & slice in half. Place pears in warm buttered baking dish (cut side down) & roast for 20 minutes. Pour vinegar over the pears & roast another 5-10 minutes. Let pears cool for 3-5 minutes, transfer to a bed of lettuce (face down), add goat cheese, pepper, & honey (feel free to use extra pan juices as dressing). Serve & enjoy!
