Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1½ sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1¼ cups cold heavy cream, plus more for brushing
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, & salt. Stir to combine.
  • Preheat oven to 375 F.
  • Add butter, cream, & vanilla to bowl of dry ingredients. With your hands combine all ingredients until liquids & butter have been absorbed.
  • Place dough in saran wrap & refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from fridge & using your hands, form dough into scone shapes (slightly off triangles roughly 2 in. thick & 4 in. wide.). Place on sprayed baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve & enjoy!
