- 3 cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1½ sticks cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1¼ cups cold heavy cream, plus more for brushing
- ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, & salt. Stir to combine.
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Add butter, cream, & vanilla to bowl of dry ingredients. With your hands combine all ingredients until liquids & butter have been absorbed.
Place dough in saran wrap & refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Remove from fridge & using your hands, form dough into scone shapes (slightly off triangles roughly 2 in. thick & 4 in. wide.). Place on sprayed baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve & enjoy!
