  • for the frosting:
  •
4 cups powdered sugar
  •
2 tablespoons milk
  •
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  •
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients & whisk until smooth.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  3. Pour equal amounts of batter into each Wilton Cake Pan Set.
  4. Add sprinkles to each pan. Add food coloring to each pan, gradually adding more to each one to achieve ombre effect.
  5. Stir mixture in each pan & bake for 15 minutes or until toothpick is inserted & comes out clean.
  6. Place pans in freezer for 20 minutes or until completely cooled. In medium mixing bowl, combine all frosting ingredients until smooth.
  7. If cakes are domed shape, cut the tops off with a bread knife. Cake layers need to be as straight as possible.
  8. Place darkest layer of cake on rotating cake stand & top with frosting.
  9. Repeat step 8 with other layers of cake until the top is covered with frosting. Place in freezer for 30 minutes.
  10. With an offset spatula, frost the side of the cakes until smooth. Top with sprinkles & enjoy!
