This chili garlic smashed brussels sprouts recipe takes less than 30 minutes to make and despite being loaded with flavor, is super healthy! These brussels sprouts are insanely addicting because they seriously taste like candy! The maple syrup and chili oil caramelize in the oven while the other ingredients add a luxurious savory flavor. This recipe serves 2-3 people as a side dish or 1 person for a main meal. Also, feel free to double the sauce recipe and add some on at the end if you like your dishes super saucy!
HOW TO MAKE SMASHED BRUSSELS SPROUTS?
The best part about this recipe is truly how simple it is to make. You don’t need to boil or “prep” the brussels sprouts beforehand, just bake them and halfway through, you’ll smash them. To smash the sprouts, you can use a potato smasher or the bottom of a sturdy cup. I used a potato smasher because I find it to be a really useful tool that makes making recipes like this one or smashed potatoes really simple.
