Rainbow hair, insanely cool style, inspiring blog, easygoing personality, & stunning apartment– Casey of Imperfect Wonder is basically a modern day unicorn. Not to mention she manages to make a 100% raw acai bowl taste incredible. See I told you: unicorn.
The superfoods, maca, cacao, camu camu, & goji, in this recipe make this breakfast one filled with nutrients. Aka if you’ve gone overboard with some of our other recipes, you should definitely consider making this bowl! Casey notes the recipe can be made entirely raw if you use raw almond milk & raw walnuts.
Beyond her awesome recipe, Casey filled us in on everything from how her blog came about to being on The Bachelor!
Describing Imperfect Wonder as a site that is honest, evolving, & imperfect, Casey developed her blog as a way to inspire. Being a fan of several other fashion blogs, Casey decided it was time to create her own content to share her incredible fashion sense & create images that truly tell a story. The idea for the name, Imperfect Wonder, came from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ song, “Snow”. While brainstorming names for her blog, “Snow” came on in which Kiedis sings, “Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder.” Casey immediately fell in love with the phrase, “perfect wonder” but felt she was the opposite of perfect & decided to call it, Imperfect Wonder. Although we definitely beg to differ about Casey not being perfect, we’ve got to give her credit for the awesome name.
Being the site we are the one question we were dying to ask Casey about her time on The Bachelor was, “What was the food like?!” Although Casey’s season was a bit different since they began traveling from day 2, she recalls the food being fabulous. “We were in hotels the whole time, & they would bring in buffets for us” Casey told us about the luxurious hotel they were in. Yet because of the incredible buffets they were constantly given, “sometimes there wasn’t a huge selection if you were picky.” Not a problem for Casey who eats pretty much everything & loved the food on The Bachelor. The food was so great in fact Casey felt like she was gaining so much weight being there!
If you’ve followed Imperfect Wonder you know Casey has had everything from pink to green to her current rainbow colored hair. She has no clue what color she’ll decide on next but one thing she does know is she wants to continue with the “My Little Pony-esque hair” that she has right now. Don’t be surprised if all readers, including ourselves copy that hair, Casey!
