DIY Peppermint Soap

In need of a last minute holiday gift? Have a secret Santa gift exchange that you don’t want to spend too much on? Feel like giving something more personal this year? If you answered yes to any of those, I’ve got the perfect DIY for you today! Don’t be intimidated by the sound of making your own soap. It takes less than 10 minutes & costs only about $20 for roughly 9 bars of soap! With the holidays just around the corner I thought I would go more of a festive route with my soap but you can choose any scent/color combo. you’d like!

What You’ll Need:

shea butter soap base | peppermint soap fragrance | red soap color | toothpicks | microwavable small mixing bowl

Step 1: Place 1/2 lb soap base in microwavable mixing bowl. Melt for 60 seconds followed by a quick stir.

Step 2: Quickly pour soap into dishes until almost completely full. Add 2 droppers full of fragrance. Stir with toothpick until fragrance has dissolved.

Step 3: Add 6 sporadic dots of red color. Quickly stir in figure eight shapes all over the top layer of the soap dish. Let soap sit until completely hardened (roughly 1 hour in refrigerator or 6-8 hours room temperature).
