If there is one restaurant you absolutely, without a doubt, must visit while you’re in LA, it’s Malibu Farm. The dreamy restaurant truly captures everything we love about California in one setting. Located on the Malibu Pier, Malibu Farm serves healthy yet incredibly delicious food overlooking the ocean, beaches, & mountain views. There is seriously nothing better than dining at Malibu Farm.
The tremendous views & great food are only part of what makes this dining experience so awesome. The friendly customer service, laid back atmosphere, & stunning decor all put Malibu Farm at the top of our list. We rounded up a few of our must order menu items at Malibu Farm & trust us, you’re going to want them all!
On the top of our list are the Swedish Mini Pancakes served with whipped cream & berries. These were some of the best Swedish Pancakes we’ve ever had & the fresh whipped cream was just the cherry on top. The thin layers of pancakes stacked into mini piles were the perfect sweet treat to start our day off with. Order them for yourself (you won’t regret it!) or as a shared plate for the table as we love to do so everyone gets to try how amazing they are.
We felt very “LA” ordering this next one, Cauliflower Pizza served on lavash bread with goat cheese, three cheese, & cauliflower. This pizza alternative made us forget we were even eating healthy for a second, it’s that good.
Next up was the Vegan Chop Salad which tasted just as good as it looked. This salad was loaded with flavor from kale, romaine, butternut squash, beets, avocado, & garbanzo beans. Aka pretty much everything we love in one giant bowl served with a view of the ocean… Yea, we’ll have that again.
Our final dish might not be what you’d expect from a beachy restaurant but boy oh boy was it delicious. The Vegan Coconut main dish is served hot with tofu, veggies, black rice, white rice, & an incredible coconut sauce. This is one dish we’re hoping is included in the Malibu Farm cookbook (yup, there’s a cookbook!) we just ordered as it’s the perfect dish to enjoy all winter long!
The exceptional food left us lounging around, enjoying the views for much of the afternoon following our meal. We sipped on some of their homemade Lemonade which is a must order while at the pier. It’s refreshing, sweet, & is the perfect way to finish off your time at Malibu Farm.
It’s evident we loved everything we had to eat at Malibu Farm but one thing that we love above all is their dedication to using real, wholesome ingredients in all of their recipes. Helene, the founder of Malibu Farm, uses mostly whole wheat flours & whole grains. She stays away from fake, processed foods stating, “If you don’t know how to make it, or where it comes from, don’t eat it”. An operation that started in Helene’s backyard, Malibu Farm now encompasses the entire pier but remains true to how they started using only real & the best ingredients.
Make sure to check out Malibu Farm at 23000 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA.
