Gone are the days where you eat unhealthy because you “need something quick”, “want something sweet” or “don’t have the money to eat otherwise”. Thanks to this delicious recipe for Blueberry Banana Ice Cream you now can have something sweet & for under $5 all while being healthy. Banana Ice Cream or Banana “Nice” Cream as some folks like to call it is simply made by blending frozen banana slices. Seriously, that’s it. The only ingredient you need is a banana & the only tool you need is a food processor (this one works great for this recipe!). It’s thick yet soft texture naturally becomes creamy when frozen & blended turning it into a delicious ice cream substitute. The text & flavor are almost identical to that of a regular banana ice cream but with much more nutritional value & way less unhealthy $h!+ in it.
For this particular recipe we added in a handful of blueberries & a dash of honey for an extra flavorful treat. The blueberries add some tartness while the honey counteracts that with some sweetness. We’ll make a batch of this at the beginning of the week (it makes about 4 servings) & enjoy it after dinner as the perfect dessert substitute. You can add in basically anything you’d like to get other flavors. The only thing to note is you want it to be super creamy so it resembles ice cream which means we don’t suggest adding in liquids or any non-frozen fruits. Peanut butter, cocoa powder, cinnamon, & frozen strawberries are all other add-ins we recommend.
