And of course, the food & drinks are another main factor as to why we can’t get enough of this place. La Colombe in Chicago’s West Loop sources it’s pastries from some of the cities best shops. One of our must order items at La Colombe is the hot chocolate. Not just because it looks absolutely stunning, ok partly because it looks that good but also because it tastes as good as it looks.
As for pastries, we couldn’t help but try one of each. Their selection from various vendors changes daily based on the freshest products available. We absolutely loved the red pepper, gruyere, & sesame seed croissant.
A few other favorite items at La Colombe are the chocolate croissant (we recommend ordering it with the hot cocoa & dunking it in there!), ham & cheese croissant, & the walnut bread. Truthfully, based on our personal experience, you really can’t go wrong with any of their drinks or food options.
