It was time this banana bread cookie got a well-deserved blog post makeover. We originally published this in 2015 which just goes to show how many years we’ve been making & enjoying these super simple & delicious cookies. It’s gluten-free (if you use GF oats), vegan (if you opt out of chocolate chips or use vegan chips), & SO. FREAKING. GOOD. Plus it only takes 15 minutes to make & that includes prep AND baking time.

I would like to know the calorie content of these cookies
Hi Sharon! Unfortunately we don’t know the calorie count on each cookie. There are however tons of calorie trackers out there that you can plug ingredients into so maybe one of those could help?! Sorry we couldn’t help more but enjoy!! xo

These look amazing!! I’m a gluten free vegan that has to keep her carbs low, do you have more recipes like this? Can’t wait to try them.
Thanks so much, Elizabeth!! Tons of great & healthy recipes coming your way soon! Feel free to email (firstname.lastname@example.org) for any specific recipe requests 🙂 xo
Are the almonds necessary to the recipe? I’m allergic to nuts, gluten intolerant, and suddenly developed a peanut allergy at 23 🙁 This is the most minimal, healthy, peanut free recipe I have found yet! I’m just wondering if the almonds are vital to the recipe or if I can just leave them out.
Hi Livi! Nope, the almonds are not necessary at all! In fact, you can totally leave them out or substitute them for something else you enjoy (i.e. carob chips, chopped freeze dried fruit, etc.). Enjoy!! xo
These are so good and SO fast!! Will be making these weekly
YAY!! Soo happy to hear that!
So good and so fast!!
