To be totally honest, the pita bread is to thank for this recipe. I recently discovered this brand, BFree Foods, which makes DF, GF, & vegan pita bread that is out of this world (they have other types of bread here too). Don’t worry – before I started bragging about this find I made sure it was readily available all over the US for y’all! You can use their location tool to find where it’s sold near you & you can also get it online! After days of just eating the pita on it’s own I was determined to develop a dip recipe to go with it. This whipped feta dip pairs perfectly with the pita & is so silky smooth I can’t get over it! Not to mention, the entire recipe takes only 5 minutes to make. You can toast the pita while you’re making the dip or eat it cold – it tastes great both ways. If you’d prefer a DF dip recipe to go along with the DF pita, you can use this feta cheese & this cream cheese that are both vegan options.
SHOP THIS POST:
- 12 oz block feta cheese
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 3 tbsp EVOO
- ½ lemon, juiced
- 2 pinches of salt
- fresh thyme for garnish
- BFree Foods Pita Bread for serving
- In blender or mixer, combine all ingredients except the thyme & pita. Blend until smooth.
- Garnish with extra lemon & thyme. Serve with warm pita & enjoy!
