You guys have been loving our healthy banana ice cream recipes lately & this caramelized banana ice cream recipe might be our personal favorite to date. Ok fine, we honestly can’t pick a favorite but if you’re looking for the ultimate sweet treat that’s basically guilt free, this is totally it. Similar to our mint chocolate chip, triple chocolate, & blueberry banana ice creams, this ice cream is made with bananas & JUST bananas. Just as long as you have a blender, you can easily make this ice cream (FYI this one is our favorite). As for the toppings, we caramelized one banana with just 2 ingredients in 5 minutes making this possibly the best & easiest recipe ever.
- 3 ripe bananas, chopped & frozen
- 1 ripe banana, chopped
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- In blender, blend 3 bananas until smooth.
- In large skillet, combine 1 banana, brown sugar, & butter over medium heat. Stir mixture gently until caramel forms & bananas are coated (about 5 minutes). Drizzle any remaining caramel not on the banana over the ice cream & mix it together. Serve caramelized bananas with ice cream. Enjoy!
